Warranty Policy

1. Warranty Coverage

At Microflash, we are committed to delivering high-quality storage products. All Microflash products are covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal and intended use.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

2. Warranty Period

The warranty period begins on the date of purchase and varies by product:

  • SSD Products: 5 years
  • DDR Products: 5 years
  • USB Flash Drives & Memory Cards: 5–10 years (depending on the specific model)

The exact warranty period is listed on the product page or order confirmation.

For Solid State Drive (SSD) products, warranty coverage is subject to an endurance limitation based on Total Bytes Written (TBW).

The warranty will expire at the earlier of the following two conditions:

  • (i) The end of the stated warranty period (e.g., 5 years from the date of purchase), or
  • (ii) The SSD reaches or exceeds the Total Bytes Written (TBW) limit specified in the product datasheet, or as recorded in the device’s SMART data.
Important Notes:
  • TBW refers to the total amount of data written to the SSD over its lifetime.
  • Once the TBW threshold is reached, the product is considered to have reached the end of its endurance life and is no longer covered under warranty, even if the time-based warranty period has not yet expired.
  • TBW data is determined by the SSD’s internal SMART attributes and may be requested during warranty evaluation.
  • Warranty claims may be denied if SMART data shows that the TBW limit has been exceeded.
